Installation Instructions

The Main Points of Operation
The following are the detailed steps of the surface drift float placement process:
(1) Preparation
1. Check the device
o Connect the buoy body to the cable;
o Check whether the buoy body, temperature and salt depth sensor, etc. are in good condition.
2. Prepare tools and materials
o Prepare the tools and materials required for routing.
o Prepare safety equipment, such as life jackets, safety ropes, and communication devices.
3. Meteorological and sea state assessment
o Understand and assess the weather and sea conditions of the day to ensure safe operating conditions.
o Determine the layout location to ensure safe operation.
(2) Float Placement
1. Perform the routing operation
o Place the surface drifting buoy body in an open area 1 hour in advance, remove the magnetic switch, and confirm with the shore-based receiver to ensure that the observation equipment and communication system are opened and working normally.
o Place on the stern side, unfurl the sail and prepare for laying.
2. Release the buoy
o Two people throw the buoy main body into the water.
o The cable is attached to the ship.
o Record the time and location of surface drifting buoys.
(3) Monitoring and Maintenance After deployment
1. Real-time monitoring
o Monitor the position and status of the buoy in real time through the communication system to ensure the normal operation of the buoy.
o Periodically check data transmission to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
